I have grown to have a really special connection with all of the families that I get to photograph but there are a handful that have an extra special place in my heart because they are really great friends that I get to do life with outside of work. Friends that have been with me through thick and thin for many many years now and the Wells family is definitely one of those families.
I absolutely love getting to interact with these five each year and it’s amazing how much we have all changed since we first met...not just the kiddos but us adults too. Dad (Dan) has definitely learned to let loose in our photo shoots which is so fun for everyone...he keeps the kids giggling...and maybe Mom (Kayla) a bit too.
Each of these kiddos has a very special place in my heart and I would do anything to encourage, support and protect each of them. It is fun to see how much they have grown over the years and how very different they are from each other... good luck Mom and Dad...lol
Through thick and thin is certainly the case with Kayla. I know this dear friend of mine will always have my back. She’s always there to lift me up when I am down, and to help me when I have reached a frazzled point. I’m so thankful we have each other and hope our friendship continues until we are both old and grey.
Our photo shoot this year was spectacular..... we were still holding on to most of the fall colors and the colors that each of the Wells family members chose to wear were perfect.... Purple Who Knew ... Everyone in this crew is certainly starting to develop their own personal style and it was nice that they got to show that off a little bit this year. Another first this year was the addition of the new family pet, Jet. I think he was a little unsure of what was going on and although he has a lot of energy and it is hard to see his sweet eyes through all that jet black hair he did so great. Looking forward to many more photos with Jet!
I was able to take them to a really wonderful location that I’ve never photographed a family at before. The walk down to the water was beautiful with lots of fallen leaves and it was even more beautiful down by the the water with the rocks, bright colored grasses, and all the fall colors peaking on the mountains behind us.
