What do you do when you have a girl who loves the urban vibe, needs a winter session but the weather isn't quite delivering what you had in mind, and you have a state basketball tournament in Missoula you are dying to watch? You pack up the girls and make the trip to Zoo Town for senior portraits, great food, shopping, swimming at The Peak, and Basketball!
I quickly realized the next morning that perhaps I am getting a little old for waking up at 5am and not returning home until 2am the next morning... but what a wonderful adventure it was. We were able to catch sunset coming up over the mission mountains along the way, it was such a beautiful morning for a drive through there; one of my favorite views for sure.
Then we spent the rest of the day watching basketball, eating, getting coffee, shopping, going for a swim, and once the light was just right... we soaked up the urban scene in the downtown area to complete Riley's winter portrait session. Have a said how much I am loving these SEASONAL SESSIONS? It is so much fun to get to spend the extra time with each of my seniors, documenting how much they change throughout their senior year, AND showing off all the beautiful seasons we have here in Montana.
The icing on the cake for the day was watching our hometown Bigfork Vikings skate to victory in the B Class state basketball tournament. It was so exciting to be there to support them and experience that winning moment. Huge Congratulations to the Bigfork Vikings and Valkyries for an amazing season.
And thank you Riley, for another amazing senior session. Next stop SPRING, yay! And then Harvard, sigh....gosh I am going to miss you so very much. So glad we were able to capture a tiny bit of your Harvard swag to commemorate this exciting new adventure you will be going on. Very proud of the woman you are becoming, stay true to you...
